Q1. How can I recommend library resources?
Q2. I would like to know how the library processes resources recommended for purchase.
If you would like to know the current status of the resources that you have recommended, you could check Libraries Recommendation System. You could also ask for librarians’ help: Question about foreign-language resources, please dial university extension number, 62613, and for Chinese-language resources, please dial the number, 63003.
Q3. May I request the library to purchase books for me?
The library cannot purchase books for readers. However, the library can provide the distributor’s information to readers who need to make a purchase.
Q4. How can I recommend academic periodicals or databases?
The subscription and non-renewal of the University’s academic periodicals/databases are decided by the faculty of the concerned departments or institutes. As the budget is a main factor considered, faculty and students must obtain the confirmation of the departments or institutes for the subscription of academic periodicals or databases before submitting their order application to the library. The library will assess purchases based on the budget of the departments or graduate institutes. If there is any question or concern, the librarian will contact the relevant personnel of the departments or institutes for further confirmation.
Q5. What are my user ID and password of Resources Recommendation System?
The user ID and password for the Resources Recommendation System are the same as your Library Account credentials used to access to online electronic resources. Please click Help or dial ext. 63222 for further information.
