What are Course Reserves?
Faculty may designate some of the library's collection as required reading for specific courses before the start of each semester. Late submissions are accepted and will be processed on in the order that they are received. Faculty may place materials on reserves online or fill out the Course Reserve Book Request Form and submit it to the Circulation Section of the Main Library or any branch libraries. All course reserves will be shelved on designated areas and reserves catalogues will be available for referring on circulation desks.
The books must be related to the course contents and should be designated by faculty as must-read items for specific courses.
Book series, dictionaries, encyclopedias, periodicals, audio-visual materials can't be placed on Course Reserves.
Materials that infringe the Fair Use and violate Copyright Law won't be accepted.
The Use of Course Reserves
Course Reserves are checked out for 2 hours and can be read only within the libraries. Overnight checkout is available 1 hour before the Library closes and items checkout overnight are due back 1 hour after the Library reopens the following day. In case of overdue, a NT$5 late fee is assessed per book per hour.
