1. The Library lets visitors use the stamp of return-date.
2. The bidding for the renovation of 1F Multimedia Area is completed.

1. The Library undergoes an organization reform and is divided into 7 groups: system, compilation, circulation & collection, promotion, history, administration, branch management; Social Sciences Information Center maintains the Information and R&D Team. Shift-hours of the entire staff have been changed. 
2. The Library Service Course is opened to teach students how to organize library books.

1. 1F reference books are relocated to 3F and 4F.

1. Professor Chan Lee (retired) of the Department of Journalism donated 8 cases (more than 500 volumes) of books to the Library. 
2. University of Tsukuba donates more than 10,000 volumes (435 cases) to the Library that are then compiled and shelved.

1. To celebrate the school anniversary SGI has donated books to the Library. The Library's “classic collection” was initiated, and the honorary doctoral exhibition of works on history, culture, and society was held. 
2. The Comprehensive Building Library and Department of Sociology hold the 4th “Si-wei Masters Series -- Exhibition of Works by Dr. Randall Collins.”

1. Our Library signs a collaboration agreement with Taiwan Historica.
2. Professor Fang-ming Chen of Graduate Institute of Taiwanese Literature, NCCU, donates the manuscripts from 1983-2007 to the Library and agrees to jointly establish the “Database of the History of Taiwan's Overseas Democratic Movements.”
3. The Comprehensive Building Library holds the book exhibition of “Municipal Management in China.” 
4. Compiles and uploads important works by teachers to NCCU IR.

1. Due to the 1F renovation, the offices are temporarily relocated to the AV Room, Periodical Room, and 4F Meeting Room. The Inquiry Room and reference services are temporarily relocated to the 2F Copy Room. 
2. The Library upgrades Webpac to Webpac pro.
3. About 150,000 volumes of books are relocated from Dorm 9 and the main Library. Dorm 9 Bookstore now serves as a temporary book deposit and is managed by the branch manager.

1. The construction of 1F Digital Learning Area officially begins.
2. Works with the Office of R&D to hold the seminar explaining the “NSC -- Second-language Research Resource for Culture and Social Science” and decides to submit projects on Germany, French, and Japanese.

1. Complementing the beginning of the NCCU Worldwide Alumni Service Net, President Se-hwa Wu presses the button for the official operation of the “NCCU Memory” website.
2. Reference book services in NCCU Library is relocated to the check-in/out counter of the Circulation and Collection Section.
3. Faculty members' spouses are allowed to check out books. 
4. Complementing the new school policy, the Social Sciences Information Center relocates the rarely-accessed materials of “U.S. Government Publications” in the 4F to the 1F of the previous site of Institute of East Asian Studies, a part of the theses in 2F are relocated to 4F, and 2F will be used as a planning office.

2. The Digital Learning Area in the 1F of NCCU Library is completed. All units have moved to the new office.

1. First-stage photograph recruitment for the “NCCU Memory” website begins.
2. The collection of Russian books is now complete with the original titles in Russian, allowing search via their original Russian titles.
3. NCCU Library and Takming University of Science and Technology jointly formulate the core databases of national social science and managerial science. 
4. The “Cities and Literatures” book fair is held from 11/24 to 12/31.
5. Finishes the compiling of governmental staff changes for the "National Government News" (from 1925 to 1948/5/19).

1. Our Library wins a subsidy of more than 80 million NT from the “NSC Project of Establishing Second-Language Research Resources” for projects in German and French. 
2. In 2008 five faculty members of NCCU received a subsidy of more than 30 million NT from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of NSC for book-purchases, including Chen-sheng Yan of the Institute of International Relations, Yuan-sheng Huang of the Department of Law, Wen-yao Hsu of the Department of Psychology, Yuan-hui Lin of the Department of Journalism, and Wei-kai Liu of the Department of History.

3.On 26 March, Mr. Thierry Coste, Commissioner of Taipei French Institute visited the Library to understand the implementation status of the National Science Council French Language Resources Acquisition project, as well as toured the digital learning area of the library.
4.On 30 March - 29 April , co-hosted the “Globalization Book Fair” .

1.On 15 April- 30 May, at the Classic Collection Corner on the second floor, held “Writing is Travelling”, an exhibition of the manuscripts of Fang-Ming Chen.

1. On 8 May, held a fire-fighting seminar and evacuation practice.
2. Dr. Stefan Rummel, Director of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD, Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst), visited the Library to understand the implementation status of the National Science Council Department of Humanities and Social Sciences German Language Resources Acquisition project, and to discuss possible ways of further cooperation.

2.On 10 - 30 June, held the “Ovid Tzeng Honorary Doctorate Book Fair”.

1.Pilot launch of the “Taiwan Governor-General’s Office Official Bulletins Database” which was jointly set up with the Taiwan Historica of Academia Historica. 
2.Completed the “Government Gazette” personnel information archival (May 1911 to June 1928).
