Important Announcement: Library Collection Services Suspension Plans

​Dear users:
Please be informed that the NCCU Libraries will be using a new library services platform from this coming August 1st.  The move to the new system necessitates temporary suspension to some of library services which might affect your Library Account and the Library Search.  Please find the services suspension plans listed below and follow the instruction closely. If you have any related questions, do not hesitate to contact us. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you very much for your cooperation and understanding.

Date Services Instruction
7/1(Mon.) -7/31(Wed.) Book Request The Book Request Service will be suspended from 7/1(Mon.) to7/31(Wed.) during which period the Library Catalogue can be used for searching only. Since the request records on the queue won’t be transferred to the new system, be sure to please the hold once again for the items you desired after the new system goes live on 8/1.
7/11(Mon.) -7/31(Wed.) Book Recommendations Book Recommendations submitted from 7/11(Mon.) to7/31(Wed.) will be processed after 8/1 as the new system goes live.
7/15(Mon.) -7/31(Wed.) Remote Shelving Requests Remote Shelving Requests will be suspended.
Missing Item Search Request Missing Item Search Request will be suspended.
Inter-Site Loan Request Inter-Site Loan Requests will be suspended.
7/27(Sat.) -7/31(Wed.) Borrowing/Return/Renewal/Holding  The borrowing, return(including Book Drop), renewal and holding services will be suspended.
Applying for a Library Card/Changing  the Reader’s Records Applying for a library card and changing the reader’s records won’t be processed.
Library Account Login The library account login service will be suspended.
Overdue Fines and Replacement Charges The overdue fines and replacement charges won’t be processed.
Leaving Procedure The leaving procedure will be processed manually.
Self-Checkout Kiosk Self-checkout kiosks won’t be available. 
Inter - Library Loan The inter-library loan services will be suspended.
Before 7/26, export and save your records! My Loan History Since your loan history won’t be moved into the new system, please export and save your borrowing records from the Library Account before 7/26 when necessary.
My Request List The book request records on the queue except those already been placed on hold shelves won’t be transferred to the new system, be sure to make a backup copy of your request records before 7/26 when necessary and place the hold once again for the items you desired after the new system goes live on 8/1.
Primo e-Shelf Since the e-Shelf records on Primo won’t be moved into the new system, please export and save your records from Primo before 7/26 when necessary.
